🧵 How to Take Your Body Measurements Before Choosing Your Size

To find your perfect Wabi Sabi fit, take a few quick body measurements using a soft measuring tape. Stand naturally, keep the tape level, and measure over light clothing.

1. Bust / Chest

  • Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust.
  • Keep it straight across your back.
  • The tape should be snug, not tight.

Pro tip: Relax your arms at your sides.

2. Waist

  • Locate your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso.
  • Wrap the tape around this point without pulling it too tight.

Pro tip: Bend sideways; the crease you see is your natural waist.

3. Hip

  • Stand with your feet together.
  • Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually 7–9 inches below the waist.

Pro tip: Keep the tape parallel to the floor for accuracy.

4. Shoulder Width

  • Measure from the edge of one shoulder bone to the other, straight across your back.

Pro tip: Ask someone to assist for the most accurate result.

5. Sleeve Length (T)

  • Start at the shoulder bone.
  • Measure down your arm to your wrist.

6. Full Length (for long dresses)

  • Measure from the highest point of your shoulder (near the neck) down to where you want the hem to fall.
